We recorded some of Pete’s tunes at TW Studios in Fulham including Dream
TW studios was in a dingy little basement studio in Fulham, I think they had some success in later years recording bands like the Jam and the Buzzcocks but they hadn’t really got established when we were there. We also recorded some demo tunes like Ship to Shore for a songwriter. I don’t think he ever got anything published though. The recordings have been dubbed off the master tapes on to cassette which deteriorated over the years. (if you have any old recordings still on tape get them digitised !)

It might have been a basement, but we had some hug hits over the years, and not just “punk”. John Lewis (Jonah Louis), Ami Stewart, Madness, Tina Charles, Alvin Stardust, The Specials, Fun Boy Three, to name but a few.
Not that I had anything to do with the actual recordings, I detested recording, but I had 2 great engineers, Alan Winstanley and Martin Adam, who both started working for me as van boys, delivering instruments to all the major recording companies for my hiring company, who did a great job.

Thanks Gary. It was a long time ago but as far as I remember we enjoyed the experience and felt like pro session men ! until the songwriter paid us.. in luncheon vouchers !
The guys in the studio were very helpful and patient with us as we hadn’t been in a studio before and had no idea what we were doing.

Good you had a pleasant experience at TW, I can’t honestly day I did, I was only in it for the money.
Consequently, in 1981, at the age of 36/37, when I had enough money and properties I retired.
I don’t regret it, I have and have always had, a really great time.
